Status of the War in Ukraine

Pastor Vadim (left) has evacuated from his home and town, which is now the frontline, but he still prays with soldiers and delivers aid.

October 2025 – Thank you so much for the outpouring of support to build a new permanent barn roof at the farm in Armenia. We reached our goal of $30,000! After the newsletter was mailed, however, I received word that our old Soviet water system was failing and we needed to dig a well. I approved it; however, that meant an additional $9000. We gave our approval in faith; the well is being dug, and the barn roof is scheduled to go up in a few days. Thank you again, and please continue to pray for us. We believe the Lord has great plans for the farm.

About Ukraine: People in America always ask me about Ukraine because it is not covered in our news. I wish I had good news, but I don’t. However, how can we pray correctly unless we understand the situation?

Kyiv apartments were hit early morning Sep 27th. Our staff lives with these daily explosions.

Pastor Vadim is pictured above right visiting young soldiers, praying for them, and bringing fire extinguishers. Ukrainians firmly believe that Putin does not want to “make a deal” or “end the killing.” They think he is “buying  time” to allow Russian soldiers to take more ground. The missile strike at the right happened a few days ago, hitting apartments in Kyiv.

Our mission, of course, is to help people and share God’s love. Our hearts go out to our staff, ministry partners, and friends who live with bombings every day. Your support of MP enables us to support families, refugees, and children with special needs during their time of need. It is now that they need our prayers and support, so thank you for standing with us and them to share the love of Christ.

Russians Raining Down Death

In pastor Vadim’s city, we used this building as a warehouse.

I would like to share a recent report from Dave Eubank of the Free Burma Rangers. His personal account from Ukraine was actually during the peace talks between President Trump and Putin. His report from the front lines tells the story better than I could. (The full report is available at freeburmarangers.org)

(From Dave) – We were racing down a shell-pocked road with the woods on fire on both sides of us in Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine. Russian artillery and missiles hit all around us, but our main threat was the new fiber optic guided FPV drones. Alex, a volunteer chaplain, was behind the wheel of his Land Rover, going as fast as he could to make us less of a target. He told us how he himself had been chased by one Russian  drone during an evacuation of civilians, and had narrowly outrun it. We headed to a small village within a mile and a half of the advancing Russian military. There were some families that had not yet evacuated but now wanted to leave.

At first, the woman did not want to leave, but with the sounds of rockets and missiles striking around us, and the destruction of her neighbors’ homes, we encouraged her that where there is life, there is hope, and that we prayed one day she could come back. If she stayed, she would most likely die. In tears, she agreed and came with one of the men, but two of them decided to stay.

We went further down the road where a lady was still in her home. We watched our drone monitor and picked up a Russian drone coming into our area. We sped up, swerved, and turned down a side road, and the drone
disappeared, hitting a different target. We got to the home, and could tell someone was still living there. We looked around for a moment, beeped the horn, and called out for the lady, but there was no response. Alex
said, “Well, we’ll come back again later, but right now, we have to take the other people. We have to get out now.”

“There Is Nowhere Safe In Ukraine”

We took the woman and man with us back to a safer area where they could stay with relatives. However, there’s nowhere safe in Ukraine. That night, two missiles came in right over our building, landing nearby, killing one person and wounding another. The Russian attacks killed seven people, including a baby, and wounded at least 19 more civilians, as talks continued between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russians have not been able to advance quickly, but they continue to

Our Friends Desire Freedom and Your Prayers

At right are two of our husbands, Sergei and Andriy, bringing aid packages to families. Sergei is now serving in the military, and Andriy has a temporary medical exemption. Andriy teaches robotics at our Learning Center and assists his wife, Yulia, the MP director.

We place our trust in Jesus and will keep sharing the good news of the gospel despite the war. Thank you for praying for our ministry in Ukraine.
