The entire Musaj family was in a car accident in August 2011. The husband was killed, and Denisa, their little girl, suffered a broken leg. The son was shielded in his mom’s arms. Shyqerie, who is now a single mother, suffered a head injury and severe trauma to the brain.
Since that time she suffers from anxiety and depression. She takes medication but is not able to function normally. Her mother helps out, and things are improving, but she cannot work and sponsorship is very important to them.
Mercy Projects sponsors have helped with groceries, medicines, firewood, and renovations to their home.
Pastor Urim oversees the MP sponsorship program and visits the family and invites them to church. The family is open to the gospel and has attended Sunday services several times over the last year.
Denisa, her daughter, loves learning English and has completed the English course offered at the church. She also serves in ministries for the children and women. She is currently starting in the university, which will be a financial burden, as the tuition is 100 Euro per month. Her brother Denis is in the 11th grade, loves English and technology and is an excellent student.
Shyqerie shared that their faith community has been a source of strength and blessing, and that their family is deeply thankful for the support they receive.
