Dec 2025 – We recently received a letter from a mother in Ukraine who needs monthly sponsorship. Her husband is a soldier, away from home, and injured. He has had back surgery and suffers from high stress. Mom referred to themselves as an “ordinary Ukrainian family” who is praying for peace, but fighting for survival.
“Since my husband began serving, I’ve been left alone with our child — both emotionally and physically. It would be truly wonderful if you could accept my daughter into the program. It is an incredibly valuable experience. I
know this is not from stories, because I was also in your program. My memories of your camps are filled with warmth,” she writes.
“I remember sharing in our candle-times, the bead-weaving and cooking workshops, and the always attentive and positive counselors. I remember how I waited every year to go to camp, and now I hope that my daughter can go. My prayer is that she can return to a happy and carefree childhood. I truly hope that you can accept us into your program.”
Christmas gifts this year are practical. We focused on things people need. Warm comforters, thermal jugs, firewood, generators, pajamas and sheets. In addition, as they enter a dark winter, they need generators, flashlights, and diesel fuel. Your support provides all these things. Pray for the survival of their families and country.
Our Christmas list has expanded due to the energy crisis in Ukraine. Now, in addition to firewood, we are providing batteries, Ecoflow generators, inverters, flashlights, power banks, etc. Requests to attend our Christmas camp in January have increased beyond our capacity. Spiritual hunger is growing and evident.
“You Keep Us Warm in Winter” – Gifts of Warmth — $100
Our families in Kosovo have been fully supplied with firewood. Thank you!
They are so grateful. The focus is now on helping families in Ukraine. Some
will receive a generator, power banks and batteries.
Our staff is working hard this winter, despite the daily threats of drones
and rockets, to minister to those in need. As one mother recently stated,
“you keep us warm in winter.” Thank you for your love and support.
Gift of Heating at the Hearts of Love Center
Our dear friends at the Hearts of Love Center near the Russian border are
facing blackouts and a gas shortage. They need a generator, diesel, and support for heating this winter. Lena, the director, is grateful and asking for our prayers. The winter heating cost is higher this year due to the war. A new generator plus their heating bill is approximately $4000.
Heating for Hearts of Love —$4000 (or a gift of any size)
New Displaced Fam
ilies Need Sponsorship
Today there are over 3 million internally displaced families in Ukraine.
These are families who fled the war zone, who speak Russian, and who desire to live in Ukraine. They hope one day to return to their homes. Each family receives 3 sponsors for a total of $108 per month. Many of our new families will be single mothers, internally displaced, widows and without jobs. New sponsorships are urgently needed.
We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
