With sadness we report that our ministry partner and fearless believer, Nikolai Nikolaivich, recently was killed by a Russian missile strike on his home in Stanislav. He is survived by his wife Valentina, his daughter Yulia, her husband and two grandchildren.
The unexpected strike happened suddenly on August 13th while they were resting in their village home. Valentina left the living room because of a phone call. The missile struck the living room a few minutes later. She was knocked unconscious, their home is destroyed, and a brief service was held a few days later. The service was brief due to the probability of an additional strike if too many people gather in one place.
Nikolai remained in his village during 6 months of Russian occupation. He was committed to serving others in his community. He loved his family and loved the Lord. He will be greatly missed though he is now home in eternal joy.
