“If there was wisdom in beards, all goats would be prophets.” – An Armenian Proverb
In the year 301 AD, the ancient land of Armenia became the first country to convert to Christianity and declare itself “Christian” in the world. As history evolved they found themselves eventually surrounded by the Muslim nations of
Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Iran. Today, Armenia is in a strategic location for reaching the Caucasus region with the gospel. The Caucasus includes Dagestan and southern Russia with Chechnya, and is one of the most unreached regions of the world.
The Armenian people struggle for their survival, yet they stand strong in their Christian faith. In this setting, Mercy Projects has built a dairy farm and retreat center in the heart of this Caucasus region to strengthen believers and spread the gospel.
