The Frits is one of the Mercy Projects’ strong Christian families who is reaching out to the abandoned children of Ukraine. There are fourteen people – parents, seven children and five people of their son’s family (parents and three children) They live in a five-room house. The father is a pastor and the mother is a housewife. They are teachers and counselors of this foster family. Health-wise Nadia Saganova is mentally retarded. She will never be able to work. Nadia helps around the house a lot. The family rented a building, which used to be a kindergarten. A sponsor helped them to buy it. It still needs to be renovated, the family occupies only one floor so far.

Parents are considered to be teachers and father works as a pastor of the Holy Trinity church from Christian Hope association.

They have four children of their own – two sons and two daughters, three of whom live separately, and their younger son Bogdan lives in the same building with his own family – wife and three children. His wife Iryna also comes from a foster family and knows the problems of it.

Health-wise Nadia Saganova has psychiatric having mental deficiency and Fedir Pershuta has eyesight problems. Father has problems with his back.

The family keeps nanny-goats and chickens and have a cat Murka. They often go around churches of Christian Hope association and perform – sing, recite poems and play.

The solution to the “social orphan” crisis in Ukraine is for loving families in those countries to step up and care for these needy children. This is why Mercy Projects is emphasizing our “Family Initiative”.

Please pray for the renovation of the house to be finished and for all family members to grow in God.
